This is the first release of EDB Postgres Extended Server 17. This release contains a variety of improvements over PostgreSQL 17.2. For more information about new features in the core 16 release, see Section E.5.

E.1.1. Migration #

A dump/restore using pg_dumpall is required for those wishing to migrate data from any previous community PostgreSQL release.

E.1.2. Changes #

  • Includes all changes up to version 17.2 of the community PostgreSQL code base.

  • Includes all changes up to EDB Postgres Extended Server version 17.1.0.
